On the initiative of Hon. Loizzo, Chairman of the Parliamentary Intergroup on Chronic Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases (IBDs), the document produced by the Scientific Societies IG-IBD ,SINuC and SINPE regarding the management model of taking care of the patient with IBDs affected by malnutrition (Bridge Project), and by a Cost Consequence Analysis regarding the economic impact of malnutrition related to IBDs, was presented at the Chamber of Deputies on May 2025.
In the Bridge Project document, the Scientific Societies analyzed the critical issues in the current care pathway of the malnourished MICI patient and proposed a new care model.
